PLAN:

1 day: BUCHAREST

Meeting at Bologna/Bergamo/Milan airport and departure for Bucharest. At the Bucharest airport, meeting with the guide who will remain available throughout the tour in Romania. Transfer to the hotel and accommodation in the reserved rooms. Panoramic tour of the Romanian capital. Dinner in a typical restaurant in Bucharest. Overnight in Bucharest.

Day 2: BUCHAREST – SIBIU (270km)

Breakfast at the hotel departure for Sibiu. Stop in Cozia to visit the Cozia Monastery, from the 14th century. one of the oldest in Romania. Arrival in Sibiu, European Capital of Culture in 2007. Lunch in the restaurant. Guided tour of the historic center of the city of Sibiu: the Great Square with the peculiarity of the roofs with "the eyes that follow you", the Small square with the bridge of Lies and the imposing 14th century Gothic-style Evangelical church. The church is also known for its organ, considered the largest in Romania, with 10,000 pipes. Typical dinner in Sibiel, with the farmers, with typical menu and drinks included. Overnight in Sibiu.

Day 3: SIBIU – SIGHISOARA – TARGU MURES – BISTRITA (230km)

Breakfast at the hotel departure for Sighisoara. Stop in Biertan, a 12th century village. Visit the fortified church of Biertan from the 14th century, which is part of the Unesco heritage. Lunch in the restaurant. Arrival in Sighisoara, birthplace of Vlad the Impaler. Guided tour of the medieval citadel. The city of the fourteenth century. it is part of the UNESCO World Heritage. Nine of the fourteen original towers are preserved. The Clock Tower which was built in the XIII-XIV centuries and until 1556 was the seat of the City Council. Departure for Turgu Mures and short tour of the city. Arrival in Bistrita. Dinner and overnight in Bistrita.

4 day: BISTRITA – MONASTERIES OF BUCOVINA – RADAUTI (200 km)

Breakfast at the hotel, departure for Bucovina. Whole afternoon dedicated to the guided tour of the Monasteries of Bucovina, registered in the Unesco world heritage. We will start from the important Voroneţ Monastery of 1488 famous for the cycle of external frescoes that decorate the church, the most famous of which is "the Last Judgement". Lunch in the restaurant. In the afternoon visit of the Monastery of Moldoviţa of 1532, surrounded by fortifications and frescoed externally and the monastery of Suceviţa (1582-84) renowned for the important fresco "the Staircase of Virtues" and for its imposing boundary walls. Stop in Marginea, known for the archaeological finds of black pottery dating back to the Bronze Age. Dinner and overnight in Radauti.

Day 5: RADAUTI – PIATRA NEAMT – THE BICAZ GORGES – MIERCUREA CIUC (350 km)

Breakfast at hotel. Departure for Miercurea Ciuc, crossing the Bicaz Gorges, the most famous canyon in the country, passing by the Red Lake. Lunch in the restaurant. In the afternoon we will reach the city of Miercurea Ciuc, crossing the heart of Transylvania. Medieval evening in the Miko fortress of Miercurea Ciuc. Visit of the fortress that will open its doors with music and wine tasting, giving the opportunity to experience the true medieval charm of the Szekleri country. Dinner and overnight in Miercurea Ciuc.

Day 6: MIERCUREA CIUC – BRASOV – BRAN – SINAIA (165 km)

Breakfast at the hotel, departure for Brasov and visit of the city, one of the most fascinating medieval towns in Romania. You can admire the Sfantul Nicolae church (15th century), the Biserica Neagrã (black church), the largest church in Romania in Gothic style and the ancient fortifications of the city. Lunch in the restaurant. In the afternoon visit Bran Castle, Dracula's Castle, built in the XIII century by the Teutonic knight Dietrich. Departure for Sinaia, known as the Pearl of the Carpathians. Dinner and overnight in Sinaia.

Day 7: SINAIA – BUCHAREST (150km)

Breakfast at the hotel and visit of Peles Castle, the summer residence of King Charles I. Continuation to Bucharest. Lunch in a restaurant. Afternoon dedicated to the discovery of the Romanian capital, called "The Paris of the East. Typical dinner at the local restaurant with a folklore show. Overnight in Bucharest.

Day 8: BUCHAREST (20km)

Breakfast at the hotel. Free time and transfer to the airport for the return to Italy.
